DUTIES
Warmstone Fireplaces & Designs is currently seeking applicants for a full-time Hearth and Stove Technician. The position is primarily responsible for installing hearth appliances to code, ensuring all clearances are met and that the job is finished with the detail of a craftsman.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will install wood, gas and stone hearth appliances according to all codes, manufacturer guidelines and company practices; perform job-site cleanup, ensuring the site looks better than when we arrived; complete post-installation documentation according to company policy; communicate/correct site issues when needed; take part in site visits to assist with estimating and determine job readiness; maintain organized warehouse and vehicle, restocking as needed; occasional product demonstrations with customers; perform chimney inspections/repairs; possess or willingness to obtain industry specific training and certifications; demonstrates effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills; arrives to work on time in
suitable attire and ready for the tasks ahead; maintains professionalism and tact to portray the company in a positive manner; preserves all company information as confidential and proprietary. Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school/GED/HiSET; previous hearth experience is required; masonry and general construction skills are a plus. Must have a strong willingness to learn; comfortable working on roofs; lifting/hauling materials in excess of 50# on a regular basis; maintain a clean driving record; possess excellent verbal, written and customer service skills; ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with high attention to detail; ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business. 6-month introductory period is required.
WAGE/HOURS
Wage depends on experience; full-time, non-supervisory position; Monday through Thursday -some overtime -occasional overnight travel.
